摘要: This study assesses the efficacy of anthocyanin rich Brassica olerecea leaves (ARCE) and flavonoid Eugenia jambolana seed (EJSE) extracts as possible cardioprotective agents against hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) induced cytotoxicity in H9C2 cells. Presence ARCE or EJSE resulted a superior cell viability integrity revealed by lactate dehydrogenase release assays acridine orange ethidium bromide staining control H2O2 treated These were also able to reduce impact lipid peroxidation depletion intracellular glutathione. Also, there was an increase mitochondrial membrane potential reduced generation reactive oxygen species following treatments. results suggest that are capable activity due high number anthocyanins flavonoids them instrumental lowering oxidative stress, preventing cellular antioxidants improving viability.
