摘要: Cervarix™ is approved as a preventive vaccine against infection with the human papillomavirus (HPV) strains 16 and 18, which are causally related to development of cervical cancer. We first investigate in vitro effects this HPV on interleukin (IL)-15 dendritic cells (DC) proxy naturally occurring subset blood DC, natural killer (NK) cells, two innate immune cell types that play an important role antitumour immunity. Our results show exposure IL-15 DC increased expression phenotypic maturation markers, pro-inflammatory cytokine production cytotoxic activity HPV-positive tumour cells. These mediated by adjuvant, partly through Toll-like receptor 4 activation. Next, we demonstrate vaccine-exposed turn induce activation NK resulting synergistic action HPV-infected study thus identifies novel mode boosting immunity, including killing
