摘要: Summary Chronic changes of several structures in and around the fetlock tunnel can be a cause so‐called syndrome (FTS) horse. Fourtynine annular ligaments (AL) from dead horses without known history or clinical evidence lameness and/or digital tendon sheath problems these legs 30 AL biopsies suffering FTS were studied macroscopically microscopically. Macroscopically, normal had shiny white appearance, whereas affected often thicker less white. Microscopically, about ± 1 mm thick composed undulating, parallel bundles collagen. Small blood vessels with diameter 0.03 ‐ 0.12 found. The showed an increased thickness collagen bundles, changed direction longitudinal axis irregularly dispersed fibroblast nuclei. number increased, external arteriolae could up to 0.3 arterial wall ...
