摘要: The autoradiographic localization of radiolabelled taurine taken up in the rat substantia nigra vivo together with conditions release [3H]taurine into brain slices were studied to determine whether they are consistent hypothesis that may act as a neurotransmitter striatonigral pathway. At light microscopic level main cellular elements became following injection could be identified glial cells. Electron microscope autoradiography confirmed subpopulation cells including astrocytes, pericytes, and oligodendrocytes neuronal perikarya not radiolabelled. In addition, axonal both terminal preterminal boutons found have silver grains overlying them thus considered This was supported by quantitative analysis distribution grains; whereas had significantly higher number associated than any other structure, greater dendritic structures. Release preloaded from superfused occurred response veratridine, calcium-dependent sensitive inhibition high magnesium concentrations or tetrodotoxin. Following destruction neurons striatum ibotenic acid injections, although weight ipsilateral reduced, uptake altered. contrast this, veratridine-stimulated markedly attenuated, implying striatal causes loss sites which exogenous is released. These results add further support previous suggestions might neuromodulator
