摘要: Despite advances in diagnosis, surgery, and antimicrobial therapy, mortality rates associated with complicated intra-abdominal infections remain exceedingly high. The World Society of Emergency Surgery (WSES) has designed the CIAOW study order to describe clinical, microbiological, management-related profiles both community- healthcare-acquired a worldwide context. (Complicated Intra-Abdominal infection Observational Worldwide Study) is multicenter observational currently underway 57 medical institutions worldwide. includes patients undergoing surgery or interventional drainage address infections. This preliminary report all data from almost first two months six-month period. Patients who met inclusion criteria either community-acquired healthcare-associated (IAIs) were included study. 702 mean age 49.2 years (range 18–98) enrolled 272 (38.7%) women 430 (62.3%) men. Among these patients, 615 (87.6%) affected by IAIs while remaining 87 (12.4%) suffered Generalized peritonitis was observed 304 (43.3%), whereas localized abscesses registered 398 (57.7%) patients. overall rate 10.1% (71/702). final results Study will be published following conclusion period March 2013.
