摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter focuses on the two animal models used for papillomavirus infections, which include cottontail rabbit (CRPV) and athymic mouse/HPV-11-infected human foreskin xenograft model. For these models, outbred inbred domestic rabbits are housed individually in stainless-steel cages without further specialized housing. Inbred (EIII/JC) a separate room where handling noises minimized to prevent audiogenic seizures prone. Athymic SCID mice isolation facilities. Flexible film isolators serviced by an airhandling system delivers highly filtered air under pressure. The derives from non-animal usage areas, pulling first across coarse filter, then pressurizing it means of high-speed blower, finally passing through high-efficiency particulate (HEPA) filtration. No invasive surgical procedures conducted infection require only superficial scarification needle puncture general anesthesia. Surgical Nembutal skin sterilized with 70% ethanol kidneys exposed paravertebral, mid dorsal incisions beginning at costovertebral angle. A small nick is made renal capsule, graft inserted aid electron microscopy toothless forceps. kidney delivered into abdomen, wound closed clips. After three months growth, killed removed. grafts measured dimensions geometric mean diameter (GMD) each calculated. Microscopic sections stained hematoxylin eosin (H&E) routinely prepared morphology evaluated.
