摘要: Olive-mill wastewater (OMW), an effluent of olive oil extraction process, is annually produced in huge amounts growing areas. An interesting option for its disposal the spreading on agricultural land, provided that phytotoxic effects are neutralized. The objective present investigation was to evaluate potential enzyme-based treatment removing OMW phytotoxicity. To this aim, germinability experiments durum wheat (Triticum Desf. cv. Duilio) were conducted presence different dilutions raw or enzyme-treated OMW. with laccase resulted a 65% and 86% reduction total phenols ortho-diphenols respectively, due their polymerization as revealed by size-exclusion chromatography. Raw exerted significant concentration-dependent inhibition seeds which evident up dilution rate 1:8. When treated fungal laccase, increased 57% at 1:8 94% 1:2 dilution, compared same using untreated also decreased mean germination time about 1 day controls. These results show can be reduced effectively suggesting main determinants
