摘要: Abstract Research on the habitats protected by European Union's Habitats Directive (HD) has increased rapidly since its adoption in 1992. However, methods and tools used to assess their conservation status are varied. In this context, we reviewed summarized scientific literature related coastal Natura 2000 list sort parameters map status. We found 225 papers that specifically focused assessment of habitats. An analysis was conducted based four (“Range”, “Area”, “structure functions”, “Future prospects”) specified guidelines. Results highlight knowledge gaps regarding availability data measure “Range”, “Structure functions” prospects”. Most dunes were located Mediterranean biogeographic region. Therefore, process assessing remains complicated implement because methodological approaches mainly dominated expert statements. Moreover, all procedures HD carried out within each member country final assessments often synthesis these partial assessments. multiscalar approach use innovative technologies (databases, remote sensing) can be particularly relevant develop replicable facilitate monitoring implementation management measures.
