摘要: Based on data from the Turkish Society of Cardiology and others, it is established that Turks have a high prevalence coronary heart disease (CHD). Several risk factors are prominent in Turks: dyslipidemia, cigarette smoking, hypertension. The dyslipidemia unique very low levels HDL-C typically "normal" LDL-C characterize population. appear to be genetic origin largely independent triglyceride (73% men 94% women with 200 mg/dl). 10-15% mg/dl lower than seen United States or western Europe. Low major factor; CHD increases 2-4% for every 1 decrease levels. Existing treatment guidelines focus plasma fail take into account continuous increase occurs as decrease. However, several studies show patients free but multiple factors, who near optimal LDL-C, benefit significantly lipid-lowering therapy. Many these do not qualify drug therapy based existing guidelines. Therefore, we believe must developed guide patients. We suggest both level total cholesterol/HDL-C (TC/HDL-C) ratio best way address most effective available presently Turkey relies lowering optimize TC/HDL-C ratio.
