摘要: Drinking water (DW) disinfection represents a milestone of the past century, thanks to its efficacy in reduction risks epidemic forms by micro-organisms. Nevertheless, such process generates by-products (DBPs), some which are genotoxic both animals and humans carcinogenic animals. At present, chlorination is one most employed strategies but toxicological effects several classes DBPs unknown. In this investigation, multidisciplinary approach foreseeing chemical analysis chlorinated DW samples study on mixed function oxidases (MFOs) belonging superfamily cytochrome P450-linked monooxygenases Cyprinus carpio hepatopancreas, was employed. The experimental derived from aquifers two Italian towns (plant 1, river plant 2, spring water) were obtained immediately after (A) along network (R1). Animals treated with 1 DW-processed fractions showed general CYP-associated MFO induction. By contrast, complex modulation pattern achieved, up-regulation for point A marked inactivation R1 group, particularly testosterone metabolism. Together, toxicity co-carcinogenicity (i.e. unremitting over-generation free radicals increased bioactivation capability) linked recorded metabolic manipulation, suggests that prolonged exposure chlorine-derived disinfectants may produce adverse health effects.
