摘要: A reliable, noninvasive method for monitoring patients with transitional cell carcinoma (TCC) of the bladder would be great clinical benefit. Cystoscopy is currently “gold standard,” but it invasive, expensive and uncomfortable patient. Recently, we demonstrated a novel approach detection primary cancer based on microsatellite analysis urine DNA. To determine feasibility this technique following-up TCC, tested serial samples from 21 who had been treated 20 polymorphic markers in blinded fashion. We detected recurrent lesions 10 out 11 correctly predicted existence neoplastic population two patients, 4 6 months before cystoscopic evidence tumor. The assay was negative no evident cancer. Microsatellite sediment represents potentially powerful tool
