Oscillatory antiferromagnetic interlayer exchange coupling in Co2Fe(Al0.5Si0.5)/Ag/Co2Fe(Al0.5Si0.5) films and its application to trilayer magnetoresistive sensor

摘要: We report oscillatory antiferromagnetic (AFM) interlayer exchange coupling (IEC) in a trilayer film with Co2Fe(Al0.5Si0.5) (CFAS) Heusler alloy ferromagnetic layers and Ag spacer layer. The AFM-IEC was observed only the films annealed at >400 °C, suggesting enhancement of interfacial spin-dependent scattering by improved B2 order CFAS is its origin. Using AFM coupled trilayer, we demonstrated scissors-type CPP-GMR device relatively large ΔRA 4.5 mΩ μm2 MR ratio 24%.
