摘要: There is a continuously growing population of older surgical patients who require an increasing number anaesthetics and sedation. Pharmacokinetic pharmacodynamic changes associated with age are often not appreciated enough. Dose requirements for midazolam, benzodiazepine commonly used outpatient procedures, have been demonstrated in prospective studies to decrease age. On the other hand, rigorous investigating effect on induction doses intravenous anaesthetics, such as thiopental sodium or propofol, missing. In addition, many those take multiple drugs medical problems related procedure. Drug interactions likely occur, but well documented. this review we summarised documented clinically relevant drug elderly population. We identified significant lack scientific outcome data need more education.
