摘要: Several strains of Candida albicans were compared for their ability to cause vaginal infection in a rat model, and vaginopathic potentials correlated with the expression two aspartyl proteinases genes (SAP1 SAP2) adherence vivo epithelium. Dot blot reactions Northern analysis RNA extracted from fluid rats infected highly H12 10261 demonstrated both SAP1 SAP2 during first week infection. In contrast, neither gene was expressed by nonvaginopathic strain (N), even though organism could be recovered 24 h postinfection. A moderately (P) also genes, but level mRNA appeared decrease prior that SAP2. Neither expressed, strains, after infection, concomitant number organisms vaginas. Analysis showed (N) adhered epithelial cells less readily than (H12) (P). Thus, addition its inability express vivo, does not colonize host same extent as other tested. Our results demonstrate early proteinase candidal vaginitis suggest association establishment
