摘要: Studies carried out in the NE coastal zone of State Para (Brazil) have recorded, last 25 years, numerous evidence natural impacts flood and erosion processes. As a consequence, diverse strategies measures population adaptation been implemented but with limited success. Therefore, order to subsidize Coastal Zone Management Program Para, this paper aims identify, assess classify socio-economic vulnerabilities by means Geographical Information Systems (GIS)-based composite vulnerability index (CVI). In spite data problems shortcomings, using ESRI’s Arcview 3.2 program, CVI score, classify, weight combine number 16 separate variables create single indicator provides reliable measure differences (5 classes) among regions communities that are exposed similar ranges hazards. The results presented three maps referred as Natural, Socioeconomic Total Vulnerability. confidence associated obtained, need utilize another variables, frequently update ones used already were analyzed discussed.
