摘要: Hypofractionated radiation refers to the use of fewer, larger-dose treatments that are usually given over a shorter time period compared conventional fraction sizes. Randomized trials hypofractionated whole breast irradiation (WBI) have demonstrated comparable outcomes as fractionation. For higher-risk population for local recurrence, phase 3 trial by Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG) is currently studying WBI with concurrent tumor bed boost weeks. Accelerated partial limits region 1–3 weeks and subject an ongoing randomized National Surgical Breast Bowel Project RTOG. Questions remain hypofractionation about optimal patient selection, techniques, risk late toxicity. But results from current could make more widely accepted patients early-stage cancer.
