摘要: Background Horizontal gene transfer (HGT) is a process that facilitates the of genetic material between organisms are not directly related, and thus can affect both rate evolution emergence traits. Recent phylogenetic studies reveal HGT events likely ubiquitous in Tree Life. However, our knowledge HGT's role biological organization very limited, mainly due to lack ancestral evolutionary signatures difficulty observe complex dynamics laboratory setting. Here, we utilize multi-scale microbial model comprehensively study effect on traits regulatory networks.
