摘要: The influence of acidification on otters (Lutra lutra) was assessed in three regions Scotland. A total 72 stretches 1000 m riverbank were searched for all signs occasions. Water chemistry determined and habitat its suitability to otters. further series water samples collected after a period very heavy rain midwinter; conductivity pH measured Al filtered, acidified sample. Otters recorded at sites. There highly significant correlations between use by (measured terms marking intensity) both conductivity, with accounting the greatest proportion variation otter stepwise multiple regression. relation quality Galloway, region significantly more acid waters. fewer minimum thought be detrimental fish populations two regions, Galloway Sutherland.
