摘要: Background The role of growth hormone (GH) in obesity is controversial. Childhood characterized by reduced GH secretion. Low, high and normal serum insulin-like factor-I (IGF-I) levels have been described obese children the face low There conflicting information on interaction upon components GH-IGF-I-insulin-like factor binding proteins (IGFBPs) system its relationship to cardiovascular risk factors. Objective This review highlights modulating factors, including lipid levels, inflammatory markers, cardiac endothelial function adolescents with insulin resistance. Conclusions interplay between secretion, NO production, IGF-I, IGFBP-1, IGFBP-3 profile, sensitivity degree visceral necessitates further study. These metabolic parameters may be useful markers premature atherosclerosis obesity. Further studies should address question optimal dose duration therapy non-GH deficient patients disturbances at for atherosclerosis.
