摘要: Phosphor Ba5Cl6Si2O6:Eu2+ is prepared through solid state reaction method at 800 C for 12 to 14 hrs. The photoluminescence and long after glow decay characteristics are studied. PL emission observed in violet region. Emission due Eu2+ transiton between the ground 8S7/2 (4f7) excited states of 4f65d1 configuration. Decay curve consists a rapid component slow component, which suggests existence lasting phosphorescence.
