摘要: We carried out an in vivo study to evaluate the potential usefulness of a novel bioengineered bone substitute for repair palate defects laboratory rabbits, using tissue-engineering methods. Our results showed that use was associated with more symmetrical growth as compared controls, and length height were very similar on both sides palate, differences from negative controls 4 months after artificial grafting length. The histological analysis revealed regenerated well organized expressed osteocalcin. In contrast, corresponding control animals without tissue immature, areas osteoid remodelling, determined by MMP-14 expression. These suggest substitutes may be useful strategy induce formation well-structured bone, which could prevent alterations found cleft patients. This opens door future clinical application these substitutes. Copyright © 2015 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
