摘要: Many types of soft tissue grafts have been used for the reconstruction oral mucosal defects. The best results are achieved with grafts; however, when large areas must be grafted, sufficient donor is not available. Tissue engineering represents an alternative method to obtain autologous reconstructing wounds. Herein we present a pediatric patient hemifacial microsomia and congenital ankyloglossia requiring multiple surgical interventions, in which full-thickness tissue-engineered mucosa was successful reconstruction. Our study demonstrates that even under challenging conditions, robust products, such as fibrin-based described here, can achieve regeneration.
