This was performed to further explore prognostic value MDK expression tumors. Materials Methods: We collected literatures through searching PubMed, Embase Cochrane Library (last up April 10, 2017) assess effect on survival tumor patients. STATA 12.0 software used for meta-analysis. Fixed-effects models or random-effects were estimate pooled hazard ratios (HRs) overall (OS). Results: A total 2097 patients from 17 observational summarized. High notably associated worse OS (pooled HR = 1.96; 95% CI 1.67–2.31). subgroup analysis type demonstrated negative impact elevated most ( P < 0.05), while had no relevance OSCC 1.68; 0.84–3.36; 0.145) HNSCC 1.56; 0.96–2.51; 0.075). Conclusions: present clarifies that is a potential biomarker Future large-scale prospective clinical trials are needed determine
