摘要: Performance limitations in the current Internet are thought to lie at edges of network -- i.e last mile connectivity users, or access links stub ASes. As these upgraded, however, it is important consider where new bottlenecks and hot-spots likely arise. Through an extensive measurement study, we discover, classify characterize non-access bottleneck terms their location, latency available capacity. We find that nearly half paths explored have a with capacity less than 50 Mbps. The identified roughly equally split between intra-ISP ISPs. These results implications on issues such as choice providers route optimization.
