摘要: Although inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) has been extensively studied, the pathogenesis is still not completely understood. As a result, treatment options remain unsatisfactory and nonspecific. With rapid advancement of diagnostic imaging techniques, modalities such as computed tomography (CT) magnetic resonance (MRI) are playing more important role in IBD diagnosis evaluation. Recent developments nanotechnology utilize an interdisciplinary approach to specifically target molecular or cellular pathological process thereby generating nanoparticles (NPs) with high specificity and/or therapeutic efficacy. Nano-based imaging, which incorporates modalities, may allow for early detection IBD, monitoring activity, be used monitor response at level. In this review, we highlight issues related nano-based its application field.
