Understanding relationships between academic staff and administrators: an organisational culture perspective

摘要: This study attempts to advance the understanding of relationships between university academic staff and administrators through information in interviews with 18 members at a large public research United States. Through exploring first‐hand insights perceptions interviewees from an organisational culture perspective, findings suggest three patterns relationships: professional, differential fragmentary. The results also address cultural subjectivity, diversity complexity embedded each pattern. Understanding complex should raise sensitivity awareness individuals their appreciation how are constructed, help reflect upon characteristics organisation.
