摘要: Abstract The aim of the study was to investigate possible interactions among glucocorticoid receptor (GRL), lipoprotein lipase (LPL), and adrenergic (ADR) genes on plasma insulin lipid levels. cross-sectional based 742 individuals from phase 2 Quebec Family Study (QFS) cohort. Gene markers were identified by Southern blot analysis or polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Plasma glucose in fasted state during an oral tolerance test (OGTT) determined areas computed. Triglyceride (TG) cholesterol concentrations fractions enzymatically. results show that GRL LPL variants had independent effects high-density (HDL-C) two β2-ADR related total concentrations. α2-ADR gene Dra l polymorphism only variant effect area. Gene-gene interaction found between for low-density ([LDL-C] P = .013) HDL-C ( .045). Higher-order involving GRL, LPL, ADR observed area .001 .025) but not After correction multiple tests, findings remained essentially unchanged became nonsignificant phenotypes. In conclusion, contribute metabolism perhaps levels, while no significant is each separately. locus appears determine pattern with loci. These suggest gene-gene could play a role etiology risk factors common chronic diseases.
