摘要: Abstract Because the survey of distribution faeces (spraints) otters is so frequently used in assessment otter populations and habitat use, we have studied spatial relation between sprainting various criteria activity presence. In a marine on Shetland spraints were found to be associated with holts features, such as freshwater pools. There was no correlation frequency use an area by otters. This casts doubt spraint surveys method assess utilisation It argued that, reservation, may for comparing large stretches river, or coast, similar vegetation physiography.
