摘要: In this paper, we examine the relationships among athletic participation and sexual behavior, contraceptive use, pregnancy in female male high school students. Analyses of covariance multiple analyses were performed on a nationally representative sample 8,979 students (the 1995 Youth Risk Behavior Survey). After controlling for race ethnicity, age, mother’s education, girls who participated sports had lower rates experience, fewer sex partners, later age first intercourse, higher past than did not participate. Male athletes reported experience more partners nonathletes, but—like their counterparts—were also likely to have used birth control during most recent intercourse.
