摘要: Latin America faces a unique set of challenges in the treatment type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). This report identifies these and provides framework for implementation strategies, policies education programs which are needed to optimize management this condition. In order improve future care, it will be necessary address existing problems such as limitation resources, inadequate hyperglycemia, inappropriate healthcare team members people with diabetes. Achieving goals require collaborative efforts by many individuals, groups organizations. These include policymakers, international organizations, providers, those responsible setting medical school curricula, patients society whole. It is anticipated that improved/continuing professionals, self-management development approach T2DM care lead optimization patient-centered care. Implementation multicentric demonstration studies rational use antidiabetic treatments demonstrate long-term favorable impact strategies upon quality prevention chronic complications, mortality, costs patient life.
