摘要: p-Tyramine, applied to cortical and caudate neurones with weak iontophoretic currents (0–10 nA), did not usually cause any alteration of base-line firing rate. However, neuronal responses dopamine (DA) during such applications p-tyramine were greatly enhanced. Cortical neurone noradrenaline (NA) similarly potentiated, but both α-aminobutyric acid unaffected by p-tyramine. In addition, background DA which affect cell rate also without effect on the standard application DA. The potentiated m-tyramine β-phenylethylamine cationic currents. results may suggest that trace amines can enhance NA transmission in central nervous system.
