Improving lives through better evidence

摘要: In 2014, 3ie organised a Festshrift to celebrate the contributions of Howard White, 3ie’s founding executive director, development studies. this introductory article, we provide reflection on made in his career so far. Common themes include substance, namely focus poor and disenfranchised; methodology, including theory change counterfactual analysis; promotion evidence-based policy. We present an overview papers contained issue, which were commissioned from colleagues who have worked with over years. A second issue Journal Development Effectiveness containing further as part Festschrift will be published December 2015.
