MUC-1 mucin expression in invasive areas of intraductal papillary mucinous tumors of the pancreas

摘要: The expression of MUC-1 mucin (membrane-associated mucin) and MUC-2 (secretory were immunohistochemically examined in 46 invasive ductal carcinomas (IDC) 16 intraductal papillary mucinous tumors (IPMT) the pancreas. Intraductal usually reveal expansive growth. However, IPMT present study, three showed an growth pattern, which was similar to 'mucinous carcinoma', around non-invasive areas. Of IDC, detected by monoclonal antibodies, DF3 MY.1E12, expressed 44 cases (96%) 45 (98%), respectively, whereas polyclonal antibody, anti-MRP, not any (0%). In contrast, areas IPMT, MY.1E12 four (25%) six (38%), anti-MRP 13 (81%). positive mucins although negative mucins, except for their focal one cases. These findings indicate that acquire a characteristic is seen IDC.
