摘要: WITH the increased awareness of transfusion-associated human immunodeficiency virus infection, blood transfusion therapy has become an issue increasing concern to both general public and health practitioners. Several measures have already been instituted reduce risk transfusion-related infections: (1) improved screening procedures, (2) early detection infectious donors by serological methods, (3) institution confidential donor self-deferral, (4) inactivation viruses in some products with solvents detergents. Although these quality supply, several important issues, such as other medical complications transfusions, conservation limited resources, cost, remain. Consequently, hospital committees widely used one mechanism monitoring use peer review.
