摘要: One protocol analyst, Sharon Pianko, calls pausing "the single most significant act of the composing process."2 Yet analysts' revelations about exactly what goes on during pauses have been sketchy. Protocol analysts are primarily con cerned with number and varying lengths pauses, rather than precise cognitive operations that occur this "significant" step.
