摘要: SUMMARY: Background: The objective of this study was to assess the vitamin A and zinc serum levels in patients undergoing haemodialysis (HD) city Recife, north-eastern region Brazil. Methods: comprised 55 28 healthy controls. retinol concentrations were analysed by using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) atomic absorption spectrophotometry, respectively. Results: mean concentration (2.50 ± 0.86 μ mol/L) significantly greater ( P 0.05). Although 49.1% 35.7% controls classified as deficient zinc, difference not statistically significant > results identified a high prevalence deficiency groups studied, point trend towards more elevated dialysis compared with those
