摘要: Abstract Nanostructured Al–20 wt.%Sn alloy was prepared by mechanical alloying (MA). The evolution of microstructure upon sintering, melting behavior the and effect variation on hardness investigated using X-ray diffraction (XRD), differential scanning calorimetry, electron microscopy (SEM), microhardness indentation nanoindentation. present work shows that nanostructure Al–Sn can be formed controlled milling subsequent sintering process. point Al Sn phase eutectic in as-milled powders decreased remarkably due to size reduction each phase. Different distributions matrix result different effects alloys. Homogeneous distribution nanoparticles has dispersion hardening effect, while inhomogeneous coarse along grain boundaries softening effect.
