Thymic carcinoma. Five distinctive histological variants.

摘要: ABSTRACT Five histologically distinct variants of thymic carcinoma are described: mixed small cell undifferentiated-squamous (three cases), basaloid (two mucoepidermoid (one case), clear and sarcomatoid case). While forming a heterogeneous group, these tumors bear the common features an anterior mediastinal location lack evidence primary tumor elsewhere, marking them as neoplasms. All except variant morphologically related to similar malignant neoplasms other organs. These should be recognized morphological demonstrate ability epithelium differentiate toward variety different types.
