摘要: OBJECTIVE Cytotoxin-associated gene (CagA)-bearing Helicobacter pylori strains have been associated with significant gastroduodenal pathologies. We performed a study to evaluate the prevalence of CagA-bearing in group H. pylori-positive peptic ulcer disease and non-ulcer dyspepsia (NUD) patients, healthy asymptomatic controls. METHOD Two hundred ninety-seven disease, 45 NUD subjects, 200 controls were studied. The newly developed anti-CagA antibody assay was used for purpose this study. by conventional three-step enzyme-linked immunosorbent (ELISA) detect concentration present tested sera against recombinant CagA 17/12 fusion protein. final results expressed reference standard curve constructed from pooled CagA+ sera. Anti-CagA reproducibility assessed intraplate interplate variations. RESULTS mean variations 8.0% 11.2%, respectively. 165/197 (84%) duodenal 80/100 (80%) gastric 25/45 (55.6%) 29/100 (29%) subjects significantly more likely than positive ( p < 0.005 0.001, respectively). Moreover, be anti-CagA+ (p 0.005). CONCLUSIONS This highly reproducible. positivity higher percentage Thus, can as clinical marker ulceration.
