摘要: Previous experimental work led to the development of a kinetic model that can be used quantify iodine sorption behavior on stainless steel surface. The model, based mechanism proposed in earlier work, consists four chemical reactions. has reproduced time-dependent adsorbed concentration data coupons observed under various atmospheric conditions and different cycles loading purging. adsorption kinetics were then incorporated into mass transport equation simulate from flowing air stream through length tubing. Discussed are simulation results, their implications regarding calibration transmission long sampling lines for radiological monitoring airborne reactor containment building following an accident.
