摘要: Microbial-community structure is closely associated with plant-community composition. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects depth and revegetation time on microbial-community restored grassland soils Loess Plateau China. at 0–10 cm (depth 1) 10–20 cm 2) eight sites a chronosequence ranging from 1 78 y determined using phospholipid fatty acid (PLFA) analysis. Except for youngest site two depths varied distinctly actinomycetes vesicular arbuscular mycorrhiza as most important discriminators. Total PLFA content decreased increased time. Protozoa were only functional group whose proportion did not change depth. Their relative abundance tended decrease increasing microbial community all bacteria-dominated Gram-negative bacteria representing largest proportion. Principal-component cluster analysis revealed that in surface soil older (23–78 revegetation) rather similar which may be due small plant species present environment. Differences composition 0–20 cm partly related variations physico-chemical characteristics. Relations organic C, alkali-extractable N, pH, available P found. Revegetation former agricultural improves status leads shifts more pronounced than
