摘要: Abstract This paper is aimed at the solution of optimal power flow (OPF) problem with embedded security constraints (OPF-SC) by particle swarm optimizer. The major objective to minimize overall operating cost while satisfying equations, system security, and equipment limits. composed generation cost, transmission consumer benefit. A modification conventional optimizer (PSO) has been used as optimization tool, which uses reconstruction operators dynamic penalization for handling constraints. allow increase number particles within feasible region. equations mismatch, loss active transmission, voltages are calculated Newton–Raphson method. To demonstrate its robustness, proposed algorithm was tested on systems from open literature. Several cases have studied test validate approach.
