摘要: A large body of research examines relationships between social class and voting behavior in the United States, but there have been no systematic studies how occupational segregation structures outcomes across many local settings. This article argues that electoral States are strongly influenced by inequality men women whites nonwhites, with being rooted segregation. Republican candidates should receive their strongest support locations where occupations highly segregated sex race, particularly settings is most vulnerable to penetration. The argument finds statistical analyses county‐level variation 2004 presidential election.
