摘要: Anterior ankle impingement results from an of the joint by a soft tissue or osteophyte formation at anterior aspect distal tibia and talar neck. It often occurs secondary to direct trauma (impaction force) repetitive dorsiflexion (repetitive impaction traction force). Chronic pain, swelling, limitation are common complaints. Imaging is valuable for diagnosis bony but not impingement, which based on clinical findings. MR imaging arthrography helpful in doubtful diagnoses identification associated injuries. Recommended methods initial management include rest, physical therapy, shoe modification. If nonoperative treatment fails, arthroscopic debridement both offer significant symptomatic relief with long-term positive outcomes cases that have no arthritic change, ligament laxity, chondral lesion.
