摘要: Laminitis is one of the most common diseases in horses. It not only painful for animal, but also has a significant financial impact on equine industry. This multifactorial disease affects connective tissue hoof. However, pathogenesis laminitis still fully understood. Endotoxins, known as lipopolysaccharides (LPS), and bacterial exotoxins seem to play an important role during development laminitis. The aim our study was investigate effect increasing LPS concentrations (0, 2.5, 5, 10, 100 μg/mL) cell viability isolated epidermal dermal hoof cells well integrity explants. Furthermore, glucose, acetic acid, lactic propionic acid explant supernatants were measured evaluate energy metabolism tissue. did exhibit cytotoxic effects or cells. Force required separate treated explants decreased concentration dependent manner. Specifically, incubated with 10 μg/mL needed significantly less force compared control Lactic LPS, while unaffected by treatment. Our indicates that no from tissue, impairs In addition, led alteration production lamellar Since data highlight can affect vitro, endotoxins should be further explored their contribution facilitate
