摘要: This paper shows an experimental study of dry face turning carried out on UNS M11917 magnesium pieces. The work is focused repair and maintenance operations which are generally under cutting conditions low performance. main goal to determine if such type can be reached successfully by machining, the most drastic sustainable cooling technique that exists, and, so, what factor or factors among involved ones in machining (spindle speed, feed rate tool coating) their possible interactions more influential quality surface finish. To achieve this objective, a methodology combines Taguchi design experiment (DOE) analysis variance (ANOVA) method considered. result establishment model for estimating expected roughness, terms average Ra, allows selecting best combination obtain pieces within certain range roughness. principal conclusion used producing very good roughness reducing costs environmental impact.
