摘要: Cutting fluids have been widely used in machining processes because of their favourable lubrication and cooling properties. However, high costs, the risk to worker’s health environmental concerns necessitated development alternative methods lubricating that eliminate or, reduce such drawbacks. In this study, a comparative analysis two sustainable systems (dry minimum quantity (MQL) system) intermittent turning UNS M11917 magnesium pieces was performed. To analyse influence system on cutting, surface roughness selected as response variable. addition system, other parameters feed rate, spindle speed, tool type, interruption type measurement zone (defined by length generatrix) were taken into account. A combined L4 x32 experimental design with three nested replications carried out. The obtained data analysed using variance (ANOVA) method. Main conclusions include identification rate most important sources variability. addition, it is possible affirm that, general, increases coolant flow within range studied, lead slightly poorer results.
