摘要: Endoscopy, for many reasons, is an important technique in the diagnosis of celiac disease (CD), since it currently most widely used method performing duodenal biopsies. On other hand, certain changes mucosa must warn endoscopist a possible disease. This relevant, well-known that people who have this remain undiagnosed. With development endoscopy, different markers can be to predict existence villous atrophy, but high level suspicion required. The correct application guidelines biopsies diagnosis, especially if there sufficient number samples, reach diagnosis. Besides, due fact spectrum health problems related quite wide, their association taken into account and performance encouraged. last decade’s technological achievements greatly facilitated study small intestine via endoscopy. Even these advanced techniques are generally unnecessary cases, some them which video capsule and/or enteroscopy allow achieve refractory cases. Other cutting-edge techniques, such as digital chromoendoscopy, optical coherence tomography confocal endomicroscopy could useful atrophy even help recognize lesser degrees relevance daily practice remains dilucidated.
