摘要: Microscopy techniques for direct visualization of phases in polymer blends are reviewed. Light microscopy is suitable immiscible and contrast include polarized light, phase contrast, differential interference fluorescence. Each technique has an application a particular system. Scanning electron used study surface morphology can be enhanced by beam damage or chemical etching. Cutting often provides sufficient but preparation fracture solvent extraction must with caution. Surface carbon replica good alternative that better resolution contrast. A new selective swelling will discussed. Transmission very thus the fine dispersion miscible blends. Contrast electronically staining pre-irradiated samples. It shown latter, together mass loss measurements, provide some unique information on blend Crystallographic studies limited damage. nevertheless possible specialized (STEM microdiffraction) to obtain several dark field images diffraction patterns from one area highly sensitive polymers.
