A note on recent trends in knowledge creation and appropriation through genomics: a scientometric analysis

摘要: Using scientometric methods, this paper examines the impact of investment in field "genomics". It reveals that terms scientific publications and application for patents, USA is still lead, Japan has caught up well, Europe, while being strong production, weak patent applications. As some other high-tech sectors, European countries are willing to allocate their resources advancement science but industrial development slow follow suit. The gap within different groups triad remains important.
